Presented by Tashpulatov Bahrom and Gaynetdinova Amina, the internal session brought together approximately 50–60 employees to explore how design thinking can improve communication and everyday business processes.

A Fresh Perspective on Everyday Business Challenges

On 31 October 2026, SERENE Group’s Design Team delivered an internal knowledge-sharing presentation titled “Beyond the Picture: How Color Influences Our Choices and Design Thinking Solves Problems” at the Bektimir office in Tashkent. Presented by Tashpulatov Bahrom and Gaynetdinova Amina, the session encouraged employees to see design as more than attractive visuals: it can also be a practical way to understand people, improve processes, and solve problems across departments.

How Color Shapes Communication

The presenters explored how colors can influence perception and how associations with red, blue, and green are often used in branding and communication. They also emphasized the importance of cultural context, drawing on visual traditions associated with Uzbekistan and India. The discussion connected these ideas to packaging, business presentations, and communication that feels clear and relevant to its audience.

Design That Works for People

A central message was that effective design should make a product, service, or process easier to use—not merely more attractive. The team introduced design thinking as a human-centered approach that considers people’s needs alongside technical feasibility and business practicality. An illustrative pharmaceutical packaging concept showed how clearer instructions, accessible visual cues, and organized information could help users navigate a product more easily. The concept was presented as an example, not as a launched SERENE product.

Empathy and the “Five Whys”

The Design Team explained how empathy helps employees understand problems from the perspective of colleagues, customers, and partners. Using a hypothetical delayed-delivery scenario, the presenters demonstrated the “Five Whys” technique: what initially appears to be a courier issue may stem from confusing warehouse organization. The example showed the value of identifying root causes rather than addressing symptoms alone.

Test Ideas Early, Improve Them Together

The session encouraged employees to try simple prototypes—such as sketches, diagrams, or mock-ups—before investing heavily in a solution. Testing early, seeking feedback, and making adjustments can help teams identify practical improvements efficiently. The presenters also highlighted applications across HR onboarding, logistics, sales presentations, and operational workflows, showing that design thinking is useful well beyond the Design Department.

An Exchange of Ideas Across Departments

Approximately 50–60 employees attended the presentation. Rather than a formal question-and-answer session, the program concluded with a brief discussion lasting around 5–10 minutes, giving colleagues an opportunity to reflect on the ideas and their relevance to daily work. The Design Team encouraged cross-departmental collaboration and welcomed colleagues to exchange ideas and explore solutions together.

Supporting a Culture of Learning and Innovation

This employee-led session reflected SERENE Group’s commitment to sharing expertise across teams and encouraging continuous learning. By connecting creativity with empathy and practical problem-solving, Tashpulatov Bahrom and Gaynetdinova Amina offered colleagues a different way to approach familiar challenges. The presentation reinforced a simple principle: better solutions begin by understanding the people they are intended to serve.
