A Celebration of Health, Harmony and Togetherness

SERENE Group celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 on 27 June at its Tashkent office, bringing together approximately 90–100 employees, including members of senior management, for a shared experience of physical wellness, mental relaxation, and mindfulness.

Maina Vijaywargi, Co-Chairman of SERENE Group, led the celebration, reflecting the organization’s commitment to promoting employee well-being and encouraging a balanced approach to professional and personal life.

The event brought employees and leadership together in an environment dedicated to health, harmony, and collective well-being.

Embracing the Ancient Wisdom of Yoga

International Yoga Day is observed worldwide on 21 June to recognize yoga’s contribution to physical and mental well-being. SERENE Group commemorated the occasion on 27 June 2026 through a program that introduced employees to different aspects of yoga and encouraged them to experience its benefits.

The session included yoga asanas (physical postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation, providing participants with an opportunity to explore practices that support flexibility, concentration, relaxation, and mindfulness.

The activities emphasized the importance of caring for both physical and mental health, particularly in today’s demanding professional environment.

Leadership That Encourages Well-Being

A distinctive aspect of the celebration was the active involvement of SERENE Group’s senior management alongside employees.

Led by Maina Vijaywargi, the event reinforced the importance of leadership participation in building a workplace culture that values employee health and well-being.

By bringing together approximately 90–100 participants from across the organization, the celebration demonstrated how shared wellness activities can encourage connection, participation, and a sense of belonging.

The initiative also highlighted the importance of making time for self-care and maintaining a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal wellness.

Beyond Exercise: Building Awareness of Mindful Living

The program emphasized that yoga extends beyond physical exercise. Through breathing techniques and meditation, participants were introduced to practices that encourage calmness, self-awareness, and mental clarity.

The celebration encouraged employees to recognize the value of incorporating simple wellness practices into their daily routines. Yoga can be practiced by individuals with different levels of experience, making it an accessible way to encourage physical activity and mindfulness.

A Continuing Commitment to Employee Wellness

As a healthcare organization, SERENE Group recognizes the importance of preventive health awareness and healthy lifestyle choices.

International Yoga Day formed part of the company’s broader People & Culture initiatives, which emphasize employee development, engagement, and overall well-being.

Alongside programs such as SERENE Growth Circle and Leadership Talks, the celebration reflects SERENE Group’s commitment to supporting employees not only in their professional responsibilities but also in their personal growth and wellness.

By encouraging participation in yoga and mindfulness activities, the organization continues to promote a workplace environment that values health, balance, and positive relationships.
